HELO Archive

I am Kurisu (I'm not Japanese btw), a random person without a life. School and work be damned, niche interests first!

Link to my resources for topics I'm interested in:

Occlupanology
Fire Hydrants (Hong Kong and Macao)

Some other random stuff

Song Wong Toi station's pottery dice
Exploring the Airport Express side of Tsing Yi station

HELO Archive's presence elsewhere

If it is not listed here, then that isn't me. I do have a Discord account but I don't feel like sharing it here now.

Statements

  1. All links are colour-coded: links to other pages in this website will be cyan blue, while links to pages outside this website will be yellow and clicking on them will open a new tab.
  2. Except where otherwise noted, content on this site (such as text, graphics, and photos) is © Kurisu of HELO Archive and is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0). Find out more about CC BY 4.0 at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/. You can share and adapt content provided in this website for your own purposes as long as you credit me: Kurisu of HELO Archive or just HELO Archive. Note that information provided in some pages, such as my Hong Kong fire hydrant pages, are heavily based on other sources, and you should consider reading and crediting those sources instead.
  3. The serif and monospace fonts used by your browser to display text in this website are NOT made by me and are NOT licensed under CC BY 4.0. The font used in graphics created by HELO Archive (not machine-readable), namely B612 is licensed under SIL Open Font License Version 1.1 by The B612 Project Authors (2012). The Open Font License allows the fonts to be used freely as long as the fonts are not sold by themselves.
  4. All pages of this website are proudly free of content directly generated or indirectly influenced by artificial intelligence and machine learning. Every single character in the code of this website was manually typed with my own two hands (except maybe the auto-complete of element-closing tags in VS Code) and all the information was compiled with my own brain. I did not even use auto-correct for grammar or spell-check. While I am not a native English speaker, I did not use machine translation - my English is good enough that I can go to school by bus (iykyk).
  5. All pages of this website are proudly free of <script> elements / JavaScript, WebGL, <canvas> elements, and HTTP cookies - Everything you see here is just basic HTML, CSS, and images. In theory, you can use the strictest security settings and still see everything displayed on this website as originally intended by me with no issue. I don't bother tracking or collecting data from you. The service I used to host this website, Github, might have added some of these undesirable and unnecessary features for their own benefit. If this possibility concerns you, please feel free to use an ad-blocker and/or other security add-ons or software.
  6. All pages of this website are proudly free of Ads - I provide information for free. No one can pay me money to do (or not do) anything here.
  7. All pages of this website are proudly free of animated transitions - this website is designed with simplicity and minimalism in mind. Animated transitions can be distracting, we all had the experience of browsing websites that have too much animated transitions without the ability to disable them (the reduced motion option in browsers don't always work...and it is just reduced motion, not removed motion), this website don't need them. Rather than having bunch of effects and beautiful graphics/images, I chose to have no effects and small images - something that is good enough to help me get something across, rather than being eye candy.
